A website in Delhi costs ₹25,000 to ₹75,000 or more to build when you hire a company that publishes its prices, plus 18% GST, plus a few thousand rupees a year for hosting and a domain. At MarketingPulse, a complete 4 to 6 page business website is ₹25,000 one-time (₹29,500 with GST), a business website of up to 15 pages is ₹45,000, and an online store starts at ₹75,000. Over three years, a starter website with hosting and a domain comes to about ₹44,000 before GST.
Every build price in this guide comes from our own website design and development plans, which anyone can check, and the running costs come from the providers' own pricing pages, checked in September 2026. I have spent ten years building and marketing websites for businesses in Delhi NCR and beyond. Website quotes in Delhi run from under ₹1,000 to several lakh, and the price alone rarely tells you what you are getting.
The short answer, in one table
| Website | Build price | With 18% GST | Pages | Typical build time | Support after launch |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter website | ₹25,000 one-time | ₹29,500 | 4 to 6 | 3 to 4 weeks | 30 days |
| Business website | ₹45,000 one-time | ₹53,100 | Up to 15 | 6 to 8 weeks | 90 days |
| E-commerce and custom | From ₹75,000 | From ₹88,500 | Catalogue based | 10 to 14 weeks | 6 months |
These are one-time project fees, not monthly retainers, and they are the same across Delhi NCR, whether your business is in Dwarka, South Delhi, Noida or Gurugram. The full list of what each plan includes is on our website designing company in Delhi page.
What each price buys
The ₹25,000 starter website is a complete site, sized for a business that needs to be found, trusted and contacted. It covers 4 to 6 pages (usually Home, About, Services and Contact, plus one or two service pages), a custom mobile-first design, a CMS so you can edit every page yourself, a contact form and WhatsApp button, basic on-page SEO, Google Analytics and Search Console, and 30 days of support after launch.
The ₹45,000 business website is built to generate leads. On top of the starter scope it allows up to 15 pages, conversion-focused copywriting, blog and case study templates, advanced schema markup, Core Web Vitals optimisation, a landing page for ad campaigns and 90 days of support.
The e-commerce and custom build from ₹75,000 covers Shopify, WooCommerce or a custom store, product catalogue setup, payment gateway and shipping integration, product schema, migration from an old platform with redirect mapping, custom integrations and six months of support and maintenance.
Every plan registers the domain, hosting and CMS access in your name, and you can see live sites we have designed and built in our portfolio before you decide.
Why more pages cost less per page
Design, setup, tracking and launch work happen once per project, so the cost per page falls as a website grows.
- Starter website, 4 pages₹6,250
- Starter website, 6 pages₹4,167
- Business website, 15 pages₹3,000
Calculated from MarketingPulse's published one-time prices: ₹25,000 for 4 to 6 pages and ₹45,000 for up to 15 pages.
That is why a business that already knows it needs eight or ten pages usually gets better value from the business plan than from a starter site with pages added later, and the business plan also includes copywriting.
The costs most website quotes leave out
Besides the build price, a website in Delhi carries these costs, each paid to a different party.
| Cost | Who you pay | Typical amount | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| GST on the build | Added to our invoice | 18% of the fee | ₹25,000 becomes ₹29,500. GST-registered businesses can usually claim input tax credit |
| Domain name | Your domain registrar | About ₹500 to ₹1,100 a year for .in at renewal | First-year offers are often lower than the renewal price |
| Hosting | Your hosting provider | ₹289 to ₹649 a month at renewal on Hostinger India's shared plans | Introductory prices for long terms are much lower, so check the renewal line |
| Online store platform | Shopify, if you use it | From ₹1,499 a month on Basic, billed yearly | Listed on Shopify's official India pricing page, with a 2% fee when you use a third-party payment provider |
| Copywriting | Us, on the Starter plan | Quoted per project | Included in the Business and E-commerce plans |
| Original photography | A photographer | Quoted per shoot | Licensed stock images are the lower-cost alternative |
| Monthly maintenance | Us, optional | Quoted separately | Updates, security patches, backups and content changes after the support period |
Hosting and domain prices are the ones we saw listed in September 2026. They change often, and renewal prices are usually higher than the offer on the first term, so compare the renewal figure before you buy.
What a website costs over three years
The build price is paid once. Hosting, a domain and, for a store, the platform fee are paid every year, so the fairest way to compare setups is over three years.
| Item, excluding GST | Starter website | Business website | Shopify store |
|---|---|---|---|
| Build, one-time | ₹25,000 | ₹45,000 | From ₹75,000 |
| Hosting or platform, 3 years | ₹16,164 | ₹16,164 | ₹53,964 |
| Domain, 3 years | ₹2,700 | ₹2,700 | ₹2,700 |
| Three-year total | ₹43,864 | ₹63,864 | ₹1,31,664 |
- Starter website₹43,864
- Business website₹63,864
- Shopify store₹1,31,664
Build prices from MarketingPulse's published plans. Hosting at Hostinger India's Premium shared hosting renewal price of ₹449 a month; Shopify at the Basic plan's ₹1,499 a month billed yearly; a .in domain assumed at ₹900 a year. Store transaction fees are not included.
Over three years, hosting and a domain add about three-quarters of a starter website's build price again, and a Shopify store's platform fee (₹53,964) comes to more than 70% of its build price before any transaction fees. Both costs belong in the budget from the start.
Why a cheap website can cost you enquiries
Most people in India go online over a wireless connection. At the end of July 2026, 957.58 million of India's 1,005.72 million broadband connections were wireless, according to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India's July 2026 subscription data, which counts connections excluding machine-to-machine links.
- Wireless connections957.6 million
- Wired connections48.1 million
TRAI Press Release No. 116/2026, dated 28 August 2026, figures excluding M2M cellular connections. Wireless includes mobile and fixed wireless access.
That is about 95% wireless. A website that looks fine on a laptop but loads slowly, shifts around or hides the call button on a phone will lose many of those visitors. Mobile-first design, speed testing and tap-to-call and WhatsApp buttons are included in every plan for this reason, and they are worth checking first in any low-cost quote.
Before you accept a ₹999 or ₹3,500 website
Search for website design prices in Delhi and you will find offers from under ₹1,000. Some are fair for a very simple page. Before you accept one, ask these questions and get the answers in writing:
- Whose name is the domain registered in? If it is the provider's, your business name online belongs to someone else.
- Can you move the website to another host? Some low-cost sites only run on the provider's own system, so leaving means rebuilding.
- Is the design shared with other businesses? A template reused across many clients makes your business look like everyone else's.
- Do you get CMS access to edit the site yourself? Without it, every text change goes back to the provider.
- What does it cost in year two? A low build price is sometimes recovered through high yearly renewal or "maintenance" charges.
- Is it tested on a phone, with a call or WhatsApp button? Given how many visitors arrive on mobile, this matters more than the desktop design.
Clear answers in your favour can make a low price reasonable for a simple site. If the answers are vague, work out what year two will cost before you decide.
Three worked budgets for Delhi businesses
These are examples built from our published plans and the running costs above, not client case studies.
A dental clinic in Dwarka that needs appointment enquiries. Five pages cover the clinic, treatments, the doctor profile, patient questions and contact with a map and WhatsApp button, which fits the starter plan.
| Item | Cost |
|---|---|
| Starter website | ₹25,000 |
| GST at 18% | ₹4,500 |
| Build total | ₹29,500 |
| Hosting and domain, per year at renewal prices | About ₹6,300 plus GST |
A clinic near our office can also see our page on website design in Dwarka, and a complete Google Business Profile helps local patients find the clinic on Google Maps.
A coaching institute in Janakpuri with 12 pages. Courses, batches, faculty, results, fees, a blog and contact need more than six pages and benefit from professional copy, so the business plan fits.
| Item | Cost |
|---|---|
| Business website, including copywriting | ₹45,000 |
| GST at 18% | ₹8,100 |
| Build total | ₹53,100 |
| Hosting and domain, per year at renewal prices | About ₹6,300 plus GST |
A clothing brand in Lajpat Nagar selling online. An online store on Shopify with a catalogue, payments and shipping falls under the e-commerce plan, which starts at ₹75,000.
| Item | Cost |
|---|---|
| E-commerce build | From ₹75,000 |
| GST at 18% | From ₹13,500 |
| Build total | From ₹88,500 |
| Shopify Basic, billed yearly | ₹17,988 a year |
| Shopify fee on sales through a third-party payment provider | 2% of sales on Basic |
At ₹3,00,000 of monthly sales, that 2% is ₹6,000 a month to Shopify, before your payment gateway's own charges.
When Shopify's Grow plan becomes cheaper than Basic
Shopify's India pricing page lists Basic at ₹1,499 a month and Grow at ₹5,599 a month, both billed yearly, with a third-party payment provider fee of 2% on Basic and 1% on Grow. Grow costs ₹4,100 a month more, and saves 1% of sales, so the two plans cost the same at ₹4,10,000 of monthly sales.
- Basic at ₹2,00,000 sales₹5,499
- Grow at ₹2,00,000 sales₹7,599
- Basic at ₹4,10,000 sales₹9,699
- Grow at ₹4,10,000 sales₹9,699
- Basic at ₹8,00,000 sales₹17,499
- Grow at ₹8,00,000 sales₹13,599
Calculated from Shopify's official India pricing, billed yearly: Basic ₹1,499 plus 2% of sales, Grow ₹5,599 plus 1% of sales. Payment gateway charges and taxes not included.
Below about ₹4.1 lakh of monthly sales, Basic is cheaper. Above it, Grow saves money every month. It is worth checking this again as a store grows, because the platform fee is easy to set once and forget.
How long a website takes, and how you pay
- Starter website4 weeks
- Business website8 weeks
- E-commerce and custom14 weeks
MarketingPulse timelines: starter 3 to 4 weeks, business 6 to 8 weeks, e-commerce and custom 10 to 14 weeks. The biggest factor is how quickly content and feedback come back.
Website projects are typically paid in milestones rather than all at once: a deposit to begin, a payment when you approve the design, and the balance at launch. Every invoice includes GST and is issued against your business details. The fastest projects are the ones where text, photos and logins are ready early, which is why we share a content checklist at the start.
Before you pay the final instalment
Launch day is when you have the most bargaining power, so check these before you release the last payment:
- The domain is registered in your name, with the login details sent to you.
- You have the hosting account login, or the site is on a Shopify account you own.
- You can log in to the CMS as an administrator and edit a page yourself.
- Google Analytics and Search Console are connected and you have been given access.
- Contact forms, call and WhatsApp buttons work on a phone, tested from your own number.
- Old page addresses redirect to the new ones, if the site replaced an older website.
- You know what support covers and for how long, in writing.
Each of these should be easy for the company to show you, and we hand over all of these accounts as standard in our website design and development work.
After launch: what brings visitors to the site
Without SEO or ads, a new website is mostly found by people who already know your name. To reach people searching for what you sell, it needs SEO for Google rankings, a complete Google Business Profile for local searches, and Google Ads when you need enquiries straight away. If you want the full picture of what those cost alongside a website, our guide to digital marketing costs in Delhi works through complete budgets with GST.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a website cost in Delhi?
A professionally built business website in Delhi costs ₹25,000 for 4 to 6 pages at MarketingPulse, ₹45,000 for up to 15 pages with copywriting, and from ₹75,000 for an online store. Add 18% GST on the build fee and roughly ₹6,000 to ₹7,000 a year for hosting and a .in domain at renewal prices.
What is included in a ₹25,000 website?
A complete 4 to 6 page business website with a custom mobile-first design, a CMS to edit every page, a contact form and WhatsApp button, basic on-page SEO, Google Analytics and Search Console, and 30 days of support. The domain, hosting and code are registered in your name.
Why do some companies in Delhi charge ₹999 or ₹3,500 for a website?
Very low prices can mean a shared template, no CMS access, or a domain and hosting registered to the provider, with costs recovered later through renewals. Ask who owns the domain, whether you can move hosts, whether you can edit the site yourself and what year two costs before you accept.
How much does it cost to run a website every year?
For a typical business website, budget about ₹6,300 a year at renewal prices: shared hosting from Hostinger India's Premium plan at ₹449 a month and a .in domain at around ₹900, plus GST. An online store on Shopify Basic adds ₹1,499 a month billed yearly, plus transaction fees.
Is GST charged on website design in India?
Yes. GST at 18% applies to website design and development fees, so a ₹25,000 website is ₹29,500 on the invoice. GST-registered businesses can usually claim it back as input tax credit, so confirm with your CA.
How much does an e-commerce website cost in Delhi?
Our e-commerce builds start at ₹75,000, or ₹88,500 with GST, covering the store build, catalogue setup, payments, shipping and six months of support. Running a Shopify store adds from ₹1,499 a month on Basic billed yearly, plus a 2% fee on sales when you use a third-party payment provider.
How long does it take to build a website?
A starter website typically takes 3 to 4 weeks, a business website of up to 15 pages 6 to 8 weeks, and an e-commerce or custom build 10 to 14 weeks. The biggest factor is how quickly content, images and feedback come back.
Do I own the website after I pay for it?
With us, yes. The domain, hosting account, code and CMS admin access are registered in your name and handed over at launch, so you can move to another company at any time and take everything with you.
The short version
Budget ₹25,000 for a complete small business website, ₹45,000 for up to 15 pages with copywriting, and from ₹75,000 for an online store, plus 18% GST on the build.
