Open your own website on your phone right now. If you have to pinch the screen to read the text, if the menu does not open properly, or if the Call button is too small to press, you are losing enquiries every day.
In India, more than 8 out of every 10 website visits now come from a mobile phone, and for most Delhi businesses we work with the share is higher still. Your website is being judged on a 6-inch screen, not on the laptop where you last checked it.
What a responsive website actually means
Responsive means one website that reshapes itself for every screen size. Same pages, same content, same web address, but the layout rearranges so it stays comfortable to read and easy to tap on any device.
This is different from keeping a separate mobile site on an m.yoursite.com address, which splits your content in two and doubles the maintenance. Google has moved on from that. It now looks mainly at the mobile version of your site to decide your rankings, so whatever your phone visitors see is what Google grades you on.
- You have to zoom in to read the text on a phone.
- Buttons sit too close together, so people tap the wrong one.
- The page scrolls sideways, and part of the content is cut off.
- Images are oversized, so the page takes several seconds to load on mobile data.
- The Call or WhatsApp button is buried somewhere at the bottom.
- Forms are difficult to fill, because the fields are tiny.
If two or more of those sound familiar, your website is not responsive, whatever your developer called it.
Why this decides whether you get the enquiry
- Mobile phones80.3%
- Desktop and tablet19.7%

Speed matters as much as layout. Google's own research found that more than half of mobile visitors give up if a page takes longer than three seconds. On a crowded Delhi 4G network, three seconds goes quickly.
- Visitors who leave if a page takes over 3 seconds53%
- Longer average sessions on a 5-second site than a 19-second one70%
- Lower bounce rate on a 5-second site than a 19-second one35%

Google also measures three specific numbers on the mobile version of your site. These are called Core Web Vitals, and they feed directly into your search rankings.
| What Google measures | What it means in plain English | Target on mobile |
|---|---|---|
| Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) | How long until the main content appears | Under 2.5 seconds |
| Interaction to Next Paint (INP) | How quickly the page reacts when someone taps | Under 200 milliseconds |
| Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) | How much the page jumps around while loading | Under 0.1 |
Most Delhi websites we are asked to check fail at least one of these on mobile. All three are fixable.
How we build a responsive website
We have been doing this for 8+ years, with 200+ businesses across 6 countries. The process is the same whether it is a 4-page clinic site or a store with a few hundred products.
| Step | What happens | How long |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Planning | We list your pages, your services, and the one action you want a visitor to take. | 2 to 3 days |
| 2. Mobile-first design | We design the phone layout first, then widen it for tablet and desktop. | About 1 week |
| 3. Development | Clean, fast code, your CMS, enquiry forms, WhatsApp and Call buttons. | 1 to 3 weeks |
| 4. Testing | Real Android and iPhone handsets, including on a slow 4G connection. | 2 to 3 days |
| 5. Launch and handover | SEO basics, Analytics, Search Console, and training so you can edit it yourself. | 1 to 2 days |
Designing the phone layout first is the step most agencies skip. Design for a big screen and squeeze it down, and something always breaks, usually the menu or the enquiry form. That is why our sites feel natural to use on a phone.
Every kind of website we build
- Business and corporate websites: services, about, contact and enquiry forms.
- E-commerce stores: Shopify, WooCommerce and custom builds.
- Clinic and hospital websites: appointment forms, doctor profiles, location pages.
- Real estate and builder websites: project pages, floor plans, site-visit forms.
- Education and coaching websites: courses, batches and admission enquiry forms.
- Restaurant, salon and gym websites: menus, bookings, Maps and Call buttons.
- Portfolio and personal brand websites: for consultants, designers and freelancers.
- Landing pages: single pages built for Google or Meta ad campaigns.
Not on the list? Tell us what you do and we will show you the closest work we have delivered.
Already have a website? We will move it for you
Many Delhi businesses come to us stuck. The old site is slow, the developer has stopped replying, or the host has raised the renewal charge. You do not have to start from zero.
- Moving to better hosting: we shift your site to faster hosting and handle the entire transfer.
- Making your current site responsive: sometimes the design can be repaired without a full rebuild.
- Domain transfer: we register it in your name, not ours.
- Protecting your Google rankings: old page addresses are mapped to the new ones so your existing traffic does not vanish.
- Recovering your content: if you have lost access, we rebuild the pages from whatever is still live.
- Speed clean-up: compressing images and removing the extra plugins that slow a site down.
All of it happens without downtime. Your emails keep working, your web address stays the same, and the old site stays live until the new one is ready.

What is responsive website design?
Responsive website design means building one website that automatically adjusts its layout to fit any screen: mobile, tablet or desktop. The content stays the same, but the arrangement changes so text stays readable and buttons stay easy to tap without zooming.
How much does a responsive website cost in Delhi?
At MarketingPulse a single landing page starts at ₹8,000, a 4 to 6 page business website is ₹25,000, up to 15 pages is ₹45,000, and e-commerce or custom builds start from ₹75,000. Prices exclude 18% GST, domain and hosting. Send us your requirement for an exact fixed quotation within one working day.
How long does it take to build a responsive website?
A landing page takes about a week, a 4 to 6 page business website 3 to 4 weeks, a 15-page site 6 to 8 weeks, and an online store 10 to 14 weeks. The timeline depends mostly on how quickly content and photographs reach us.
Can you make my existing website mobile friendly?
Yes. We first check whether the design can be made responsive as it stands, or whether a rebuild will cost less than the repair. We tell you honestly which is cheaper, and your Google rankings are protected either way.
Can you move my website to a new hosting company?
Yes. We handle the full migration (files, database, emails and domain) with no downtime. Your web address stays the same, and rankings are protected by mapping old page addresses to the new ones.
Will my website work on all phones?
Yes. Every website we build is tested on real Android and iPhone devices, including on a slow 4G connection, before it goes live. We do not rely on resizing a browser window on a laptop.
The short version
More than 8 out of 10 of your visitors are on a phone, Google ranks you on your mobile version, and over half leave if the page takes more than three seconds. If your site is not built for that, the enquiry goes to a competitor whose site is.
Is your website losing mobile visitors?
Send us your web address. We will open it on a real phone, check the layout, speed and Core Web Vitals, and send you a short report on what is slowing it down. Free, with no obligation.
